The POWER project is networking and collaborating with other EU initiatives in order to increase its impact and reach a high number of interested stakeholders. These liaisons will create an important net for exchange of information.
BlueSCities is a H2020 project that aims to develop the methodology for a coordinated approach to the integration of the water and waste sectors within the ‘Smart Cities and Communities’ EIP. It will identify synergies in accordance with the Smart City context and complement other priority areas such as energy, transport and ICT.
The central objective of the European project TRUST is to deliver co-produced knowledge to support Transitions to the Urban Water Services of Tomorrow, enabling communities to achieve a sustainable, low-carbon water future without compromising service quality. TRUST will demonstrate and legitimize these innovations by the implementation of the most promising interventions in the urban water system of the nine different participating city pilot regions.
The European water research project DESSIN demonstrates and promotes innovative solutions for water scarcity and water quality related challenges & demonstrates a methodology for the valuation of ecosystem services (ESS). DESSIN is centred around five demonstration sites with special focus on urban areas across Europe, where solutions are being tested and validated. The DEMOWARE initiative is an FP7 EU research project which aims to rectify these shortcomings by executing a highly collaborative programme of demonstration and exploitation, using nine existing and one greenfield site to stimulate innovation and improve cohesion within the evolving European water reuse sector. The project is guided by SME & industry priorities and has two central ambitions: to enhance the availability and reliability of innovative water reuse solutions, and to create a unified professional identity for the European Water Reuse sector.
In a nutshell, COMRADES is a platform that will encourage community-wide participation in order to recover from crisis situations. The platform enables local and remote communities as well as digital activists and responders to come together and share knowledge through their crisis reports (community reporters). The FloodCitiSense project aims at developing an urban pluvial flood early warning service not only for, but also by citizens and city authorities. It builds upon state of the art knowledge, methodologies and smart technologies provided by research units and private companies to create an innovative public service that reduces the vulnerability of urban areas and citizens to pluvial floods.
