POWER data protection policy

This page briefly explains POWER’s policy regarding the personal data that you may disclose to us, for example when using the POWER Digital Social Platform of one of the water communities (Jerusalem, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Sabadell).

De Montfort University (DMU), in Leicester, UK, is the data controller. This means that DMU determines the purpose of the processing and is responsible for the adequate protection of personal information.

Our aim is to respect your privacy and comply with the GDPR and DPA.

The General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) is a new EU legal framework for data protection. It came into force across all member states from the 25th May 2018. As a result, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) introduces greater protections for personal data and brings data protection law into the digital age with some new obligations for organisations that collect, use, share, and store personal data.

You can read the complete data protection policy of DMU (and hence of POWER) on this page.
